I see this all the time: people walking from the bus station, in the busy city or around the shopping plazas with their heads down texting. I personally do not have the coordination to do this but those who can text and walk…STOP and think about why.
You should always be walking tall, giving yourself a great presence and allowing those around you that you are aware and alert. At any given moment you could be grabbed from behind, pulled into an ally or even worse, walk into a dangerous space and lose your way.
Find a local coffee shop to pop into, maybe even a park bench in a public area to tend to those important texts. The not so important ones…leave them be. Keep your head up and always know what’s happening around you.
