Naoufal Houmairy started playing tennis at the age of 10 and became passionate about it. He competed nationally. He started playing semi-pro tournaments when he turned 17. Naoufal is a Tennis Professional since 1999 and was able to accomplish many accreditations in his career: (1) PTR Certified Professional & High Performance Coach, (2) USPTA Certified, and (3) Etcheberry Certified Professional. Naoufal carries over 16-year experience of Tennis coaching and teaching. Each summer, since 2008, Naoufal was the head pro at Wayland Swim and Tennis Club then the director of tennis in 2014. As of 2016, Naoufal is the Head Coach for the girls Varsity tennis team at Noble and Greenough. He also currently coaches women and men’s teams of DBH and Central Mass League since 2002 and runs D.H.A.C Junior Tennis Academy since September of 2014 at Dedham Health Athletic Complex.
Naoufal is avid to improve his players’ game, play and performance on a daily basis; he is involved in many ways to advance the Tennis game in general. He is one of the 7 Master Racquet Technicians (MRT) in Massachusetts. Naoufal owns and runs Strings and Things Pro Shop, a tennis specialty pro-shop located inside D.H.A.C. One of his favorite times is helping its clients meet their needs when it comes to tennis’ equipments. When Naoufal is not on the court teaching or at the shop stringing racquets or advising clients, he will most probably be playing tennis for fun and/or competition
Nadia Choqri Sablon
Nadia is originally from Morocco. She represented her country in many domestic and international tennis tournaments including WTA competitions and the African Championships. She was ranked among the top ten Moroccan juniors and was Moroccan women’s singles champion in her category in 1995. Nadia is PTR certified and has 16 years of junior and adult teaching experience. Before joining the staff of DHAC in 2003, she was an instructor and the lead tennis professional for children’s tennis at Sportsmen’s Tennis and Enrichment Center in Boston from 2000-2002.
Hilary Ryan McCarthy
Hilary Ryan McCarthy has been a teaching professional in the New England Area for over 20 years. Hilary has an extensive tennis background with three other certified USPTA professionals in her immediate family. She has played as a junior throughout her native country of Ireland and started her career teaching underprivileged children in Dublin as a college student. After moving to the US she obtained a certification with the USPTR in 1994 and became a full time club tennis professional. In 1998 she obtained the highest possible rating as a teaching professional with the USPTA: Elite Professional.
Hilary has worked with ranked juniors and adults and has been a club director (’04-’10) and junior director (’10-’16). She has extensive experience working with and coaching players on various teams and leagues, as well as years of teaching the ROGY method of progressive tennis to juniors. Hilary is continuing her commitment to all that is new in tennis through her ongoing education and dedication to the sport.
Alyssa McGurk has been teaching tennis at DHAC since 2004. She grew up competing in USTA New England as well as National Tournaments. She is USPTA certified and a graduate of Boston College.
Ex professional player from Columbia, Captain of the 12’s and under Colombian team in South America. Alberto holds an ITF and PTR certifications, enjoys working with kids all ages from 10 and under to high performance. Alberto comes with 35 years of coaching experience.
Dusan, born in the Czech Repubic, is an accomplished tennis player at the national level. He has over 32 years of coaching experience and has coached and developed several national junior champions, as well as #1 ranked juniors in New England. He also has coaching experience for the ATP and WTA tour. Dusan has 30 years of stringing expertise.
Gennady Burakovsky has been with the DHAC since 2010 after previously serving as the Head Professional at the Boston Athletic Club and Junior Director at the Tri Valley Tennis Club. He has coached an extensive range of players, from novice and nationally ranked juniors to mens’ and womens’ league teams. As a player, he was a two-time captain at the University of Chicago, playing both #1 singles and doubles. After college, he played in the USTA New England men’s open division and finished in the top eight for six straight years before solely focusing on his teaching career.
He has been the assistant coach of the Boston College Men’s Tennis team since 2004 and has helped coach the team against Big East, Ivy League and ACC opponents. During the summers, he serves as the Director of Tennis for the Great Island Yacht Club in West Yarmouth, MA. He is a USPTA Elite Professional and is a USRSA certified stringer. He is available for private and group lessons to both adults and juniors.
